Annual General Meeting, October 2023

Midwives from every region of Uganda gathered for the association's Annual General Meeting, the moment in the year when members review what has been achieved and decide where the association should push next.

The meeting received reports from the national executive, considered the accounts, and confirmed committee membership for the year ahead. Members debated priorities including workforce investment, staffing norms and the practice environment in rural facilities.

Delegates also used the meeting to strengthen regional structures, so that members outside Kampala have a clearer route to raise issues with the national executive throughout the year.
